Why South Africa?
2010 is set to be a landmark year for South Africa. With the world’s eyes on the soccer World Cup, massive infrastructure development is taking place and the knock-on effects for the economy and business opportunities at large is immense. Relatively sheltered from the global economic crisis, South Africa is proving to be an attractive investment target and last year the private equity industry passed the R100bn mark for the first time. Equally telling is the estimated R29bn in undrawn funds, earmarked for further investment.
About the Congress
There's not long to go until the 3rd annual unquote" South Africa Private Equity Congress. In association with SAVCA, this event is firmly established as the region's most important get-together of investors and PE companies.
Once again to be held in the majestic surroundings of Cape Town’s Table Bay Hotel, the main conference will take place on Thursday 11th February 2010.
